July 2014 TBR

You may have noticed that I only read about half the book off my June TBR and spent the rest of the month just reading complete and total randomness...I noticed too. -.-

But I did say that I only had to read half the books I listed each month in order for me to continue the tradition of coming up with a monthly TBR. So technically I accomplished that. Unfortunately that also means I'm going to have some repeats. Though, I'm not going to repeat the same TBR entirely because obviously there were reasons why I didn't get to all of the titles.

Possibly the gigantic-ness of the majority of them. I seem to have this tendency to be overly ambitious. So I'm going to try not to be this month. I'm only keeping two books off of last month's TBR, the one I'm currently reading and the one that I was supposed to be reading for a buddy read (hopefully I'll make a bigger dent in it this month). And I'm adding in a lot of short, fun, geeky reads to try and break things up a bit. I have a feeling this TBR will go MUCH BETTER. ^.^

So without further ado...

My July 2014 TBR:
The Plains of Passage (Earth's Children, #4)The Name of the Wind (The Kingkiller Chronicle, #1)The Girl Who Chased the MoonFangirlBeautiful ChaosIron Man: Femmes Fatales

  1. I really need to read Fangirl. I tried to read her other book but just couldn't get into it but I want to try Fangirl to see if I enjoy it more and can actually finish it.

Good luck on your pile of books. My goal is large for July as well but my hope is to at least get through half of them, similar to what you do when you make a pile :)

    1. I'm usually really hesitant to read something that has quite that much hype but I have a feeling that I"m really going to love Fangirl because, from what I've read about it, I can really relate to the main character. But I've been putting it off since it first came out...I'm not entirely sure why. Which other book did you try reading?

Good luck on yours too! Hopefully we can both kick book butt this month. [:
