Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
where a new topic is given each week by the host blog and participants
write up a corresponding list of ten things. Simple, fun, and great for
those obsessed with lists. This week's topic is: Top Ten Books I Read In 2012!
It was so incredibly hard to whittle my list down this year...I've read so many incredible books. But I think I finally managed to do it...with only a couple runners up. xD
Runners Up:
Note: You might have realized by now that not all of these books were published in 2012...these are the top ten best books I READ in 2012. Just for clarification's sake. [:
Every Day is one of my favorite books ever! Everyone loved Seraphina- I started it but never finished it. I need to get back to it ASAP. Pushing the Limits seems to be a common favorite. Great list!
ReplyDeleteIt was really impressive. I think its one of those books that you can really learn from with each reading. There's so much in that one little book. And I hope you get to finish Seraphina soon, it is a little slow in the beginning but it has some amazing world-building and characters. Thank you! :]
DeleteI've only read one book on your list (Pushing the Limits) but it is on my TTT too. I loved that book so much. Noah and Echo. Oh my gosh!
ReplyDeleteYES! They were amazing. I love how true to life their love story was. :]
Deletegreat list. I really need to read Seraphina, keep hearing amazing things about it!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get to read it soon! Its such an incredible fantasy novel.
DeleteSeriously, Every Day is a total life changer. I haven't read Seraphina yet but I've heard good things and am looking for a new fantasy to delve into. Oh man and Masque of the Red Death... that's also on my TBR list. I'm a huge Poe fan, so I'm really intrigued to see how well it holds up.
ReplyDeleteMasque of the Red Death was amazing and got me back into reading Poe again. I finished a collection of his poetry this year and I'm hoping to read the short story that the book was made from soon! :]
DeleteSo many of your top ten are on my to read list. Must read more and faster. Thank for stopping by mine!
ReplyDeleteIt always seems to work out that way. I visit all of these lists and my TBR just grows and grows! xD
DeleteNice list! You have some good ones on there. Loved Sweet Evil =]
ReplyDeleteMirsada @ The Little Red Reader
Thank you!
DeleteYou and me both. I can't wait for the next installment. :]
Grave Mercy made my list too! And so many others that I have yet to read, eek! Great list!
ReplyDeleteMy 2012 favorites!
YAY! Love the concept of it and Robin LaFevers carried it out so well. You just can't beat nun assassins. :]
DeleteThank you!
I have Pushing the Limits and Sweet Evil but haven't read either. I've been on a Romance craze the past couple months
ReplyDeleteI have been too, I think that is why I devoured Pushing the Limits. It's one of the best romances I've read in a LONG time. :]
DeleteI loved Poison Study!! I'm reading The Assassin's Curse right now and really enjoying it. Great list!!
ReplyDeleteCait x
Both of them are excellent fantasy novels. I hope you love The Assassin's Curse as much as I did. :]
DeleteThank you!
Another Top Ten List with 10 books I haven't read. I'm going to have a monster TBR list for 2013!
ReplyDeleteMy TTT: napsandnovels.com

Snuggly Oranges Book Blog
Thanks! I hope you love them as much as I did/do. :]
DeleteI really must get through some of these. 2 are on my list this year, 1 last year (A Touch Mortal). Masque was close to making my list and I really enjoyed Every Day.
ReplyDeleteYou'll get there...someday. Maybe. SO MANY BOOKS, SO LITTLE TIME. -.-
DeleteI haven't read any of those, but have heard great things about them all. I really need to get my hands on some of them! I'm always playing catch up trying to read the best books! haha.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
You and me both. There are always way too many books and not nearly enough time to get them all read. xD
DeleteOoh, great great choices in Grave Mercy, Days of Blood and Starlight, and The Assassin's Curse - definitely among my top choices of the year, too!! Still need to read those other ones though. I've heard especially good things about Every Day! Seems like that one has been topping quite a few Best Of lists.
ReplyDeleteThank you! They were all awesome works of fantasy. :]
DeleteHope you get to the others soon. Especially Every Day, there is so much to learn within that small book. Its brilliant. But that's Levithan for you.
I want to read Daughter of Smoke and bone so bad! I loved Seraphina and Grave Mercy this year, too :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you get to read it soon! It is absolutely amazing, easily my favorite novel of 2011 and the sequel is even BETTER! :]
DeleteHaven't heard of most of these books, but I'll have to check them out!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog.
I hope you find something you like! :]
DeleteI assumed it was read in 2012 as well ;-) Awesome list! I'm still working on reading some of these (Seraphina gah!) and am now even more excited :D
ReplyDeleteGlad to know I'm not alone. And thank you! I hope you get to them all soon and devour them as fast and love them as much as I did. ESPECIALLY SERAPHINA. Lovely lovely book. :D
DeleteEvery Day sounds great and I'm starting Daughter of Smoke and Bone. I'm glad you enjoyed both books so much! :)
ReplyDeleteYAY! I hope you love both as much as I did. Especially Daughter of Smoke and Bone, it was such an amazing fantasy novel and the sequel was just as amazing if not more so. :]
DeleteInteresting books on your list. A lot of these I'll have to check out I guess. Some of them have been on my radar but I felt kind of "meh" about them. If they are top picks of the year though, I 'll have to check them out.
ReplyDeleteI know how that feels, I've felt the same about books that I have seen on other peoples' lists. I hope you find something that you love though. :]
DeleteI want to read all those books though I have read Pushing the Limits. I especially want to read some David Levithan because I've heard great things!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my post. :)
Myra @ Pieces of Whimsy
Yay! Definitely read some David Levithan. He's one of my favorite contemporary authors. Completely brilliant. Love Every Day especially but my absolute favorite work by him is Realm of Possibility. :]
DeleteLove Days of Blood and Starlight!!! Have Masque of the Red Death on my TBR shelf! Great list!
ReplyDeleteYAY! Always love finding lovers of my favorite book. :]
DeleteAnd definitely read Masque of the Red Death soon, it is AMAZING.
