August 2014 TBR

TV has taken over my life and I blame the fact that Netflix finally added season four of Lost Girl...which I promptly marathoned in a single day and then proceeded to finish the third season of Charmed and work my way through half of it's season four. WHICH IS WAY TOO MUCH TELEVISION FOR ME. In case my wrap up for last month didn't give it away, I haven't been doing nearly enough reading because of the easily accesible brainless-ness that is television...and I'm not too happy about it. Especially because of my book buying ban. [Look forward to a post on that turning up soon!]

So I need to get reading. Unfortunately I have no idea what I'm in the mood for. Well. I'm not sure anyway. I think I'm either in the mood for fantasy or urban fantasy [maybe some paranormal] but first I have to get back into the swing of reading things.

So basically I just grabbed tons of books off my TBR shelves, skimmed the first page of each of them, and any that managed to hold my attention for the entire time made it on to the list. We'll see how it goes.

And without further ado...THE LIST:

The Fellowship of the Ring (The Lord of the Rings, #1) Ever After (The Hollows, #11) Blood Magic (The Blood Journals, #1) The Blood Keeper (The Blood Journals, #2) Between Shades of GrayFahrenheit 451

(1) The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien
(2) Ever After by Kim Harrison
(3) Blood Magic by Tessa Gratton
(4) The Blood Keeper by Tessa Gratton
(5) Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys
(6) Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury

  1. I really liked Fahrenheit 451 and I really want to check out more of Bradbury's works. Happy reading!

    1. I just finished reading it earlier this week and I loved it; I also second your notion of wanting to read his other works. [:
