Top Ten Tuesday: Wishful Thinking Sequels

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish where a new topic is given each week by the host blog and participants write up a corresponding list of ten things. Simple, fun, and great for those obsessed with lists. This week's topic is: Top Ten Books I Wish Could Have Had Sequels (they were complete stories but you just could have read more and more about these characters or set in that world)

This was an incredibly difficult topic for me because every time I thought I had come up with a title there was some sort of companion novel or sequel that I had never heard of before. INSANITY. A plus because it means more books in worlds I wanted more of but a total con because my list is so short. xD

(1) Brightly Woven  by Alexandra Bracken - This novel makes a lot of my lists, and with good reason because it is FANTASTIC...I only wish it had more...and it really didn't even need more, it was so perfectly contained but it was just so FANTASTIC I never wanted it to end.

(2) Crown Duel by Sherwood Smith - Technically, technically, this is a bind-up of two books but they flow together so seamlessly that to me is just feels like a single novel...and I LOVED it. Hands down one of my absolute favorite fantasy novels and I just wanted more.

(3) This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen - I know we see cameos of her characters in her other works but This Lullaby is my favorite Dessen with my favorite couple and characters and I would have LOVED to have a direct sequel so that I could have spent more time with them. College years maybe? :D

(4) Harry Potter - Definite wish for spin-offs here. I want to know more about the Marauders especially. Maybe even the new generation...but the Marauders PLEASE.

(5) Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles - Yes, there are sequels...but nothing wrong with more. I loved these boys and I want, even just little novellas of how their lives go after you close that last book.

(6) Trickster's Queen by Tamora Pierce - I love her writing and this, this is my tied for first [I love Daine too] series that she has written. I would love to have more from Aly who remains one of my favorite characters ever created by Tamora and I feel like she has a lot more stories to tell after she ended up where she did.

(7) Gotham City Sirens by Paul Dini and Peter Calloway - I felt like they ended this too abruptly and too obviously. I think they could have, and were on the way to making it, better than anyone thought it could be. They were great...until the rushed ending. And I really, really wanted more of the trio working out Gotham.

(8) Millennium Snow by Bisco Hatori - Fell in love with these early on...they were just so captivating. I think I'll always be waiting for that third volume.

And that's pretty much all I've got...

What did you guys come up with?
