Top Ten Tuesday: Being Thankful

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish where a new topic is given each week by the host blog and participants write up a corresponding list of ten things. Simple, fun, and great for those obsessed with lists. This week's topic is: Top Ten Books/Authors I'm Thankful For!

This is a short list for me because I chose books that mean a lot to me, that have helped me through different parts of my life and that I'm just so very thankful to have been able to read. I'm sure there are more than just these four but they are what immediately came to mind.

And, though I doubt she will ever read this, I want to extend a super special thanks to Sarah Dessen for writing The Truth About Forever because that book, that beautiful, amazing, powerful book helped me through some really dark times.

And though I only included those four, I just wanted to thank all authors in general for writing amazing books that help either to escape reality for a few hours [or more, some books really have the power to just take you away] or to help you to make it through your own reality. Its pretty heady stuff. So thank you to every author out there because your work matters more than you may know. :]

  1. I haven't read anything by Deb Caletti though her books sound amazing. I adore Sarah Dessen, she was one of the authors I turned to when I was younger and needed escape. Lovely post. :)
