My 2013 TBR Pile Challenge

You guys have seen pictures of my TBR Pile...you guys know how utterly INSANE it is. And it just keeps growing? Want proof of its enormousness? Check this out. [And those aren't even recent pictures! :o] ANYWAY. I seriously need to cut this monster down to size, hence the TBR Pile Challenge!

The 2013 TBR Pile Challenge is held by Adam @ Roof Beam Reader. Basically the challenge is to read twelve books off your TBR Pile that have been on the pile for at least one year. Want to sign-up? Click here.

I'm going to try and read:

(1) The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien

(2) Eragon by Christopher Paolini

(4) The Childe by C. A. Kunz

(5) Ender's Shadow by Orson Scott Card

(6) The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon

(7) How the Garcia Girls Lost Their Accent by Julia Alvarez

(11) The Wayfinder by Darcy Pattison

(12) Where People Like Us Live by Patricia Cumbie

ALTERNATES:
(1) The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle
(2) The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams

Wish me luck! :]

  1. Some great stuff on this list! Ender's Shadow was almost better than Ender's Game (in my opinion). I definitely enjoy the Bean series better than the Ender series (but that's because the Ender series gets more political, whereas the Bean/Shadow series is more action/sci-fi generally). Also LOVE The Hobbit and Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. Good luck with your challenge - glad you're with us!

    1. Yay! Always a good thing to hear when getting ready to tackle a TBR pile.

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED The Ender Series. I've reread Ender's Game in particular about a dozen times and the whole series at least twice if not three times. In a totally geeky way I enjoyed the politics but more action/sci-fi is good too.

      Thank you! :D

  2. Cool list!

We had The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time as our book report this year and I just finished reading it a few hours ago! LOL :))
