Tiara Talk: Fictional Crushes

Let's talk about or fictional crushes and literary boyfriends.

We all have them. That male character we've encountered in some book whether it be adult or young adult that was just too good (or bad!) to pass up. The one whose Mister Right or at least someone we wouldn't mind as Mister Right Now.

Those of you who have spent any time at Typing Tiara know that I'm a sucker for the fae AND bad boys. So it's no wonder that a huge chunk of my own list is made up of various guys who fulfill one or BOTH requirements. Who are some of my favorites? Well, I don't kiss and tell...but I have no problems reading and sharing. ;o

Prince Ash of Julie Kagawa's The Iron Fey series is one of my favorites, that rare boy who has it all. And he's royalty? That's some yummy icing on an already scrumptious (ice cream?) cake. And his fierce loyalty to those that he loves? Sprinkles. Definitely sprinkles.

Etienne St. Clair of Stephanie Perkin's Anna and the French Kiss. What? He doesn't fulfill EITHER of my "requirements"? HE'S ST. YUMMY CLAIR. He fits perfectly. He doesn't need immortality or a bad bone in his body to be my fictional crush. I'd go out with him any day.

Alex of Simone Elkeles' Perfect Chemistry series. This is a hard call for me. I love Alex, he was my first Fuentes brother and quite possibly my favorite. But his brothers aren't slouches either. The entire family is muy caliente and definitely crush-worthy. *fans self*

Will of Cassandra Clare's Clockwork Angel. OH YUM. Now I know most Cassie Clare fans are all over Jace, I have no problem with this. I just want Will. *dreamy sigh* Not that Jace isn't Mister Bad Boy Extraordinare himself, and super sexy to boot...there's just something about Will. His sarcasm, his wit, the fact that you know his horrendous attitude problem is just there to protect him. Oooooooooooooh Will.

And by no means is this a conclusive list, there are tons of others, but if I were to post every single fictional boy that an amazingly talented author has made me fall in love with and want to steal for my very own than this post would be longer than all of the posts on Typing Tiara put together...and I seriously doubt you want to read that.

So...now it's your turn! What traits do you look for in your fictional crushes? Share a few of your favorites. :]

  1. Oh, there's just so many fictional crushes! Darcy from Pride and Prejudice or Gilbert from Anne of Green Gables or Jacob from Twilight (he is the hot one!) or Damon from The Vampire Diaries or Rhett from Gone With the Wind or... I could keep going...

  2. Okay, I totally second all of your suggestions except for Damon from The Vampire Diaries because I haven't had any experience with him. But Gilbert and Rhett for sure! LOVE both of them dearly, Gilbert was one of my first ever fictional crushes when I was younger. Him and...Almanzo Wilder [Little House series by Laura Ingalls Wilder]. He seemed so perfect to me as a kid, I mean I loved horses and he did...obviously we would have been a match made in heaven. xD
