Top Ten Tuesday: Handy Tools

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish where a new topic is given each week by the host blog and participants write up a corresponding list of ten things. Simple, fun, and great for those obsessed with lists. This week's topic is: Top Ten Things That Make Our Lives As Bloggers Easier/Better.

(1) Goodreads - As both a reader and a blogger I seriously don't know where I would be without this website. I have TONS of books and though I was doing fairly well for awhile keeping track of everything in my head, we all know with my scatterbrained-ness that wouldn't have lasted much longer. I LOVE GOODREADS.

(2) Netgalley - Oh how I love thee. Though Netgalley can get me into a ton of trouble, I'm sure we've all had those days when we have severe request-itis, I still love the site overall because its great for smaller blogs [like mine!] who aren't eligible for the new ARCs but still want to read and review them early.

(3) Twitter - An amazing resource for me especially. I can skim through my feed fairly quickly, get an idea of what books are popular right now and need to be added to my wishlist immediately, and I have tons of awesome people at my disposal to help me if I get stuck with something [usually technical].
 

(4) Rafflecopter - God send. Seriously. Hosting contests used to make me crazy nervous until I came across Rafflecopter, which I'll admit I was super not sure about when it first arrived on the scene. BUT it makes hosting contests so much easier, just enter a few quick items, click complete, and voila contest!

(5) Blogger - I have to list blogger simply because without it I wouldn't have a blog. I know some people complain about the website but for me it is [normally] fairly easy to use and I can always find the answers I need if I go searching. 

(6) My Kindle - When I remember to use the darling she is a great help for me because I have all the books in the universe at my disposal. Well. Sort of. ALSO because I can borrow books from friends and other bloggers [same thing, right?] and that helps to keep me on top of new releases too. Handy!

(7) My Phone - Seriously I don't know what I would do without it. Nine times out of ten I take all the pictures for book hauls with it, I use the Blogger app, the Twitter app, the Goodreads app, and half a zillion other ones. Typing Tiara would probably go up in flames if I ever lost my phone. xD

(8) gohastings.com - This site is probably my most ordered from booksite after Amazon. I can score TONS of books for super cheap on here, and who doesn't love that? It helps that I don't mind, and actually a lot of the time prefer, used books.

(9) Amazon - Of course, I have to list Amazon on here because its where I get almost all of my books. Well...close anyway. [I even have an order in progress right now for all my textbooks! :o]

(10) My library - I go in spurts as to how often I use this amazing resource but it really just can't be beat. I can check out all the books I'm not sure about [that I'll probably end up buying later] AND buy books here for super cheap [fifty cents for mass market, a dollar for trade paperbacks, and two to four dollars for hardbacks!]. WIN WIN, right?
