Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Authors Who Deserve More Recognition

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish where a new topic is given each week by the host blog and participants write up a corresponding list of ten things. Simple, fun, and great for those obsessed with lists. This week's topic is: Top Ten Authors Who Deserve More Recognition.

(1) Laini Taylor - Daughter of Smoke and Bone / Days of Blood and Starlight - Beautiful prose, amazingly real characters and a heart-breaking story. This woman is BRILLIANT and one of my most rec'd authors.

(2) A.G. Howard - Splintered - BEST WONDERLAND REIMAGINING EVER. I love this book. And there is going to be a sequel. She writes creeptastically and darkly and awesomely. SHE DESERVES TO BE READ.

(3) Maria V. Snyder - Poison Study - Her books immediatly hook me in and they are brilliant fantasy...I'm constantly amazed by the fact that her name isn't a household one...yet.

(4) Cassandra Rose Clarke - The Assassin's Curse - Almost no one I've brought her up to know who she is...and you should. Her book was magical, simply magical.

(5) Anne Greenwood Brown - Lies Beneath - She writes heroines who aren't afraid to own up to how weird this whole paranormal thing is. TRY HER.

(6) Robin LaFevers - Grave Mercy - She writes historical fantasy. ENOUGH SAID. She's awesome.

(7) Rachel Hartman - Seraphina - Talk about a fantasy author who will blast you out of the water. Brilliant and in depth and just brilliant. SHE MUST BE READ.

(8) Bethany Griffin - Masque of the Red Death - She made me want to start reading Poe again. And other classics. READ HER.

(9) Alison Goodman - Eon - Her book blew me away. LITERALLY BLEW ME AWAY. She touched on serious issues then wrote them into a FANTASY NOVEL.

(10) Alexandra Bracken - Brightly Woven - Possibly the most underrated fantasy novel ever.
