Review of Wildefire

I won this ARC of Wildefire by Karsten Knight from Rachel at Fiktshun
 under the premise that I would read it and write an honest review. So, presenting my review of Wildefire by Karsten Knight.

I LOVED Ash and not just because we share a name. Well, a nickname as our actual names are not identical. Anyway. THIS CHICK IS AWESOME. She's a total badass and I love that about her. And I don't use the term badass lightly.

I've read a lot of reviews about this book that said they didn't like Eve, Ash's sister, which puts me in the minority I guess. I'm not saying I loved the girl but I was just as torn as Ash herself as to how I should feel about her. I really wanted to like her but Eve was seriously troubled. And maybe just a little evil.

And the other characters? Great cast. I wish the people I had gone to school with had been more like these guys. Maybe I need to be a goddess. And go to a boarding school. And move to Northern California. Not necessarily in that order.

I LOVED the fact that various mythologies were present instead of just the Greek gods/goddess' that we are all probably used to. I also appreciated the fact that though the romance was steamy it wasn't always front and center in the storyline. Ash had other things going on in her life like discovering that she's a goddess, clashing with her sister and those took priority.

And the ending? Easily the best cliff-hanger that I have read in a long time. I literally felt as if I had just stepped off the edge of a cliff when I read the last page of Wildefire, the ground just suddenly went out from underneath me and it was over. I cannot wait to read the sequel to this book.

The best review that I can give you guys about Wildefire is that it was a one-seater. By this I do not mean that the book did not provide sufficient seats for a couple, though it did in fact not, what I mean is that I curled up in the corner of my comfy couch to read a chapter or two and ended up devouring the entire novel. In a single sitting.

I'm giving Wildefire by Karsten Knight a five out of five stars review. Yes, it was that good. And if you don't grab a copy of this book the second that it comes out I will smite you. Yes, smite you. Even though I'm not a goddess...nor do I know any gods or goddess'. Just don't test me for I will find a way to smite someone with or without these godly powers.

And if you haven't checked out Karsten Knight's vlogs yet you also deserve to be smited for they are hilarious.
