Wishing on Wednesday

Supernaturally by Kiersten White
Goodreads Summary: "A lot has changed in the six months since Evie escaped from the International Paranormal Containment Agency with her shape-shifter boyfriend, Lend. She finally has the blissfully normal life she’s always dreamed of, including:
1) A real live high school
2) A perfectly ordinary after-school job
3) Her very own locker (and by the way, rusted metal is every bit as awesome as she imagined)

But Evie’s not-so-normal past keeps creeping up on her...and things get pretty complicated when you factor in:
1) A centuries-old, seriously decaying vampire stalker
2) A crazy faerie ex-boyfriend who is the perpetual bearer of really bad news
3) A major battle brewing between the faerie courts where the prize in question happens to be...Evie herself.

So much for normal."

I have a feeling this might just become a feature of it's own, blaming things on The Story Queen herself that is. I had just gotten the first book in this series [Paranormalcy by Kiersten White], carefully tucked it away on my shelf when she spoke up informing me of the awesome-ness. So I took a little peek inside. Than promptly finished it. I cannot wait to read Supernaturally, it's going to be one of the first pre-orders that I make once some more money comes through. It's a must read for me now.

Half-Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Goodreads Summary: "The Hematoi descend from the unions of gods and mortals, and the children of two Hematoi pure-bloods have godlike powers. Children of Hematoi and mortals well, not so much. Half-bloods only have two options: become trained Sentinels who hunt and kill daimons or become servants in the homes of the pures.

Seventeen-year-old Alexandria would rather risk her life fighting than waste it scrubbing toilets, but she may end up slumming it anyway. There are several rules that students at the Covenant must follow. Alex has problems with them all, but especially rule #1:

Relationships between pures and halfs are forbidden.

Unfortunately, she's crushing hard on the totally hot pure-blood Aiden. But falling for Aiden isn't her biggest problem--staying alive long enough to graduate the Covenant and become a Sentinel is. If she fails in her duty, she faces a future worse than death or slavery: being turned into a daimon, and being hunted by Aiden. And that would kind of suck."

There's no one that I can specifically pin this one on, unless the blogger community as a whole can be blamed. You might have seen my review of Daimon by this same author, the only reason I read this one is because EVERYONE was reading it. I couldn't be left out now could I? Okay so it doesn't take much peer pressure to get me to read a book and Daimon was no exception. Again with the awesome-ness! For me Half-Blood is going to be a must order...and soon. I have to know what happens!

Vanish by Sophie Jordan
Goodreads Summary: "To save the life of the boy she loves, Jacinda did the unthinkable: She betrayed the most closely-guarded secret of her kind. Now she must return to the protection of her pride knowing she might never see Will again—and worse, that because his mind has been shaded, Will’s memories of that fateful night and why she had to flee are gone.

Back home, Jacinda is greeted with hostility and must work to prove her loyalty for both her sake and her family’s. Among the few who will even talk to her are Cassian, the pride’s heir apparent who has always wanted her, and her sister, Tamra, who has been forever changed by a twist of fate. Jacinda knows that she should forget Will and move on—that if he managed to remember and keep his promise to find her, it would only endanger them both. Yet she clings to the hope that someday they will be together again. When the chance arrives to follow her heart, will she risk everything for love?

In bestselling author Sophie Jordan’s dramatic follow-up to Firelight, forbidden love burns brighter than ever."

I just finished reading Firelight by Sophie Jordan on Monday, and WOW! How could Vanish not have ended up on one of my wish list posts?

This newly re-vamped Wishing on Wednesday, not that anyone of you would know that aside from me telling you, is brought to you by Rachel from Fiktshun who made one of my wishes come true by mailing me an ARC of Wildefire...which was supposed to be featured front and center on today's post. :D

  3. Lol! I swear I'm going to have to change one of my weekly posts to things that The Story Queen has officially gotten me addicted to. xD

And I will be grabbing your button for sure. I need to get one of my own fairly soon.
