How I love thee, Summer Break, let me count the ways...or should I say books read?
As predicted I'm a reading machine (in between marathoning Once Upon a Time because my best friend told me to!). I've been switching off between things on my own vast physical TBR shelves, books lent to me by some pretty amazing friends, and my old friend the library to fill in the gaps. IT HAS BEEN AMAZING. I think I might really be able to make a dent in my physical TBR over the next few months, which would be amazing, though eliminating it entirely would be asking way too much. (Some day I will show you guys my TBR shelves! Promise.)
I totally went off the beaten path AKA my May TBR though but I'm pretty okay with that because it has been such an awesome reading month. I've found so many awesome new things, finished series, and just really enjoyed everything that I've read. (With only a few exceptions.)

My favorites of the month would have to be both the Witch Doctor series AND the Night Huntress series for vastly different reasons. The first is an amazing supernatural graphic novel series that I just cannot recommend enough. I was told that it was kind of like a twisted Doctor Who type thing and I initially really fought the description but after having read both volumes I have to say that it isn't completely off base. But it is darker. And grittier. And a little gross at times. But the guy who recommended it to me knows me well and I LOVE IT. Can't wait for the third volume to release. Someday. As for the Night Huntress series, it was just fly through it fun. I love Cat and Bones. (And Vlad and Spade!) Easily in my top three Adult Urban Fantasy / Paranormal series.
